GREEN DAY 'AMERICAN IDIOT' 2LP Heriot A View From the TopLABEL: Reprise WEA VINYL RELEASE DATE: 11 3 2009 ORIGINAL RELEASE DATE: 2004 VARIANT: Black Vinyl 2LP, with Poster If you had to pick one band to don the "least likely to create a rock opera" mantle, Cali punk trio Green Day would be among the most logical candidates. That makes the existence of American Idiot something of a surprise and the excellence of its contents little short of a revelation. There are no half measures on the sprawling disc.
