Description

This still comes off as herbal but is much darker and more brooding than its younger counterpart

The palate is medium-bodied with a slight lactic/dark chocolate note on the entry from the wood

sherry fruit initiate the malty palate before a blast of savory peat smoke trails across a long finish

I say "shaping up" because the wine is still in a youthful stage and has yet to open up fully

and yet my impression is that the 2023 is still coming together following its bottling a few months prior to this tasting
