Italy. A Royal Navy Cruisers War Navigation Badge, (2Nd Degree) With Packet, C.1942 United Republic of two cotton ties on theBronze gilt, maker marked "R. DAZZI" and "S. JOHNSON" on the reverse, 44. 7 mm x 49. 3 mm, vertical pinback, extremely fine. In its glassine packet of issue, maker marked "JOHNSON MILANO ROMA" on the front, undulated, packet near very fine. Footnote: This badge was introduced on May 27, 1944 and was awarded for thirty months of embarkation or 3,000 hours of navigation and three war engagements.
