Thymus neiceffii Tanacetum and around it until they

and around it until they get so high they finally stagger off

Trillium erectum emerges in mid-April (NC)

waiting for it to expire in our brutally hot and humid summer

The leaves

this deciduous shrub to 4' tall is adorned with flaking brown bark and acts as a dieback perennial in the northern parts of its hardiness zone

Thymus neiceffii Tanacetum and around it until they(aka: Thymus leucotrichus subsp. neiceffii) Unlike most perennial thyme species, this Balkan endemic is actually a woody subshrub. Thymus neiceffii forms a slow spreading 2" tall carpet of hairy, glaucous green foliage that looks quite juniper like, but without the spines. We treasure this in our crevice garden, where it has thrived since 2021. The patch is topped with a lovely show of mauvy lavender flowers in May.
