Aucuba japonica Arashiyama Hymenoxys The contrast of the purpleAucuba japonica 'Arashiyama' is a true collector plant. This Japanese selection of their native aucuba is painfully slow growing, reaching only 2' tall after 5 years. The wavy, glossy green leaves are flecked with a misty white central pattern that crystalizes into an irregular white border near the leaf edges.
