(aka: Pratia angulata) We have really enjoyed this wonderful semi-evergreen groundcover lobelia from New Zealand in our garden for decades

so if you have a male nearby

'Fourth of July' forms a neat medium-sized mound to 2' wide

but does not have any tolerance for exposure to full sun

and no cutting back until spring

Iris virginica Contraband Girl Western Europe (aka: Pratia angulata) We haveIris virginica 'Contraband Girl' is a vigorously growing, massive selection (probably a tetraploid) of our native blue flag water iris. Iris 'Contraband Girl' is so big, we have to beat it back with whips and chains just to keep it confined to its pot. When planted in a moist garden site, it forms robust bold textured 3' tall x 7' wide (in moist sites) clumps in five years. In spring, the clumps are topped with larger than normal, blue purple flowers.
