Histoire d'un dessinateur. Comment on apprend à dessiner. Afrique du Nord and particularly on its artistsFollowing on from Histoire d'une maison and Histoire d'un htel de ville et d'une cathdrale, this is one of Viollet le Duc's testamentary books. For each of his Histoires de Viollet le Duc chose a narrative method. Here, it is dialogue, set against a biographical backdrop. Little Jean is learning to draw. In a word, we are dealing with a method, a manual presented in a playful, amusing, and generously illustrated form.
