Constructed of gilded zink alloy, the obverse consisting of an enlarged Kriegsmarine eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastikas, the reverse retaining its original downward pointing prong for pith helmet attachment, maker marked with the logo of Gustav Brehmer, Markneukirchen, measuring 105 mm (w) x 54 mm (h), a rare early and maker marked example in near mint condition.
